I'm going to mount that DB for a test.
As for the items you are requesting, I have an observation about the handling
of STRING
% DB5031.DB20: STRING [20]
The previous item represents an arrangement of 20 STRING, which is not
practical, since the driver must read the capacity and the number of associated
characters.
% DB5031.DB20: CHAR [20]
Using CHAR types, you retrieve the associated characters. That is what Siemens
HMIs or even WinCC itself store, including applications such as Braumat for
batch number handling.
Rewriting your request as follows works for me without problems.
