Found where this is configured (src/main/resources/protocols/modbus/modbus.mspec). According to the git history this was a fix for another bug: fix(protocols/modbus): PLC4X-335: Using single-byte modbus types resulted in unexpected behaviour I'll make a pull request for the fix, but not sure if this will reintroduce the other bug. @chrisdutz, you were the one that changed the line, do you remember what the exact reason was? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
