I was trying to add attributes which added additional context for the device being connected to. It would be used further along to route the data. So these were not legal addresses. I figured using the Address Text would then restrict validation to the Address Text attribute and allow my use case. This was not the case, validation would fail. If this is expected behaviour, which you have indicated may be the case, then no worries. I can just add an UpdateAttribute box. To my mind however the validation logic seems to be a bug hence the report. I am new to Nifi so maybe it is not recommended to try to add an attribute in this manner. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
