Review Comment:
   Let's be practical about this. Not all that can be done, should be done :) 
   
   Consider a real 3rd-party client that needs to talk to the Polaris Server. 
Obviously, the client cannot be expected to do just about anything that some 
other clients can do in principle. For example, the Iceberg REST Client is 
quite conservative in what it allows to customize.
   
   These blackbox tests actually define how Polaris is accessed in principle 
and what is possible to tune from the client side.
   
   Would it be sufficient to be able to inject custom headers (specific to the 
test environment) in addition to the Polaris base URI (which is already 
customizable)?
