If validation fails, it will cause a runtime error, making this storage
configuration unusable... This seems risky to me because storage config is
persisted, but the `PolarisConfigurationStore.getConfiguration()` value can
change from run to run (it may even be different is different servers in the
same cluster). WDYT?
