Ratnasingam Kasthuriraajan commented on ROCKETMQ-379:
-----------------------------------------------------

Hi yukon,

I have tried to run RocketMQ. I have used
[https://rocketmq.apache.org/docs/quick-start/] to reference. I have faced a
system hang problem due to the large heap size problem. Now I have fixed that
with the help of a mail thread on  d...@rocketmq.apache.org mailing list.

I would like to know , which is the best way to discuss about this project ?
Using the comment facility in Jira  or start a New mail thread [on
d...@rocketmq.apache.org|mailto:on%c2%a0...@rocketmq.apache.org] mailing list
with the subject as *[GSOC2018]Support AMQP protocol for RocketMQ-ROCKETMQ-379
?*

Which is the best approach?

> The Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) is an open standard application
> layer protocol for message-oriented middleware. The defining features of AMQP
> are message orientation, queuing, routing (including point-to-point and
> publish-and-subscribe), reliability and security.
> Support AMQP protocol for RocketMQ has important significance, could expand
> RocketMQ ecosystem quickly.
> A feasible way is providing a proxy to support AMQP protocol.
