yukon commented on ROCKETMQ-379:

AMQP is a wire-level protocol, and it's difficult that if we support it in our
server directly.

IMO, we could provide an AMQP proxy server to support AMQP protocol and react
with RocketMQ cluster using the native rocketmq client.

> The Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) is an open standard application
> layer protocol for message-oriented middleware. The defining features of AMQP
> are message orientation, queuing, routing (including point-to-point and
> publish-and-subscribe), reliability and security.
> Support AMQP protocol for RocketMQ has important significance, could expand
> RocketMQ ecosystem quickly.
> A feasible way is providing a proxy to support AMQP protocol.
