Madhushika Jayasinghe commented on ROCKETMQ-386:
------------------------------------------------

Hi [~Yukon],

I am Madhushika Jayasinghe, final year computer science and engineering
undergraduate from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. I have previously used
sink and source design for a stream processing project, so I am confident I
could work on this project. I think what I have to do is create an external
plug in for RocketMQ to connect with HBase with source to read database and
sink to write to database. I will go through related documentation and
experiment with the given mysql plugin. It would be great if you can point me
to important documentations and if any guideline available about writing
plug-ins to RocketMQ.

Looking forward to contribute to this project.

Thanks,

Madhushika.

> Apache HBase is the Hadoop database, a distributed, scalable, big data store.
> RocketMQ as a messaging system only supports short time of online storage, so
> needs a plugin to connect habse and has the ability of offline storage.
>
> The rocketmq-mysql[1] plugin can be a reference, in short, we need sink and
> source connectors to send and pull data from hbase.
