That's what I understand also. I didn't try the right-click approach, I simply used the downloads approach (with a user action) on the graphics demo I did a few months back, for saving the generated svgs. But the native file system api is coming and it works (for me) in Chrome already, there's a 'try it' link in this page: https://web.dev/native-file-system/ This is the type of thing that I think might be nice to consider implementing as forward-compatible., or at least supporting it as an option early. We could expect that Edge and Opera and Chrome should have it pretty soon at least.
