Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Copy and paste problems for some users....
Classification: Application
Product: Spreadsheet
Version: OOO330m20
Platform: HP
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P3
Component: editing
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
QAContact: [email protected]
Copy and paste in large spreadsheets does not always work correctly for all
users. There are 6 users of OOO3.3.0 m20 on our 64-bit CentOS 5.5 server.
Three users have no problems, cut and paste in large spreadsheets works
correctly. The other three users all have problems. Symptoms for 3 users
having problems are as follows:
1. Open large spreadsheet
2. Highlight a couple of columns.
3. Click on Edit and Copy.
4. Open new spreadsheet.
5. Place cursor in cell 1,1.
6. Click on Edit and Paste.
7. Cell 1,1 gets some funny looking character (only 1 character) and nothing
else shows up.
I am one of 3 users without problems. When I execute steps above, on the same
files as the 3 users with problems, it works perfectly every time.
I have found advice on forums about copy and paste problems. I have killed the
files in .openoffice.org/3/user for the users with problems so that openoffice
will re-establish those files, but that didn't help.
