## Did you read the Contributor Guide? - Yes, I have read the [Contributor Rules](https://sedona.apache.org/latest/community/rule/) and [Contributor Development Guide](https://sedona.apache.org/latest/community/develop/) ## Is this PR related to a ticket? - Yes, and the PR name follows the format `[GH-XXX] my subject`. Closes #2288 ## What changes were proposed in this PR? Got a very nasty and misleading error when trying to run `sindex.query(geoseries)`. Geopandas supports inputting a geoseries here, while we don't. It looks like the sedona functions we call here (`SpatialRangeQuery` both on the python and java level) only accept singular geometries as input instead of a column, so it doesn't seem like it's quick and easy to add support for this. Instead, this PR adds type hints and a conditional check to avoid getting that nasty error again. ## How was this patch tested? N/A ## Did this PR include necessary documentation updates? - Yes, I have updated the documentation. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
