I had a similar issue but now have it working on DBR 17.3 LTS (it must be the LTS as you are trying, the other 17.x don't work for me). We had an init script that was copying the JARs to `/databricks/jars` as per the [Sedona docs](https://sedona.apache.org/latest/setup/databricks/) which now seems to fail due to permissions errors. We instead add them both in the libraries tab on the cluster which seems to be the new way?! Anyway it is working for us -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
