@paleolimbot Hmm, how would this work for the rest of the WKBHeader, where we necessarily need a condition on the geom type (e.g first_xy). Would this just have to be a separate thing from WKBHeader that doesn't also read first_xy, first_geom_dimensions, or srid? I wouldn't imagine this helping if we still end up parsing the rest of these fields conditionally?
