You're right that in GeoParquet this is at best ambiguous. I don't think anybody has ever written spherical edged GeoParquet except for SedonaDB, and even this implementation I don't think will write a top level bounds metadata for geometry or geography. GeoParquet 1.1 output is probably fishy and I forget what this will do there...I think anti Meridian bounds are out of spec when this writes geography for Fiji and GeoParquet 1.1. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
