While not really an issue for shindig containers, which could rely on the
gadgets.json.xml.convertXmlToJson api to convert xml to an object, a gadget
shouldn't rely on this shindig-specific feature.
It would be nice if the open-views.ee openEmbeddedExperience would be able to
handle json/xml string inputs as well as an object data model, and the
container could do the best-effort parsing so the gadget would not need the
feature.
Official spec inclusion can wait till 3.0. Ryan will be creating a spec issue
for it.
