Rich Thompson commented on SHINDIG-1779:
----------------------------------------

As is not uncommon in XML documents, the use case is extended information that
can provide for enhanced experience if the information is understood by the
client. This JIRA simply addressing that information flowing from the feed
provider to the client such that it can be used if it is understood at the
client. The current support blocks such extensions by only supporting the
specification defined items and this is an issue for at least one of our
products.

> There are requirements to expose some specific attributes in the feed result.
> These attributes are not specific to any entry i.e. global in scope. for
> example, it is possible that user may require additional attributes to be
> passed like "Configuration parameters used by the front end to present
> Activity entries"
> Would like the RestfulCollection object to be backed by a map with the put
> and get methods exposed, similar to how ActivityEntry and ActivityObject are
> currently handled.
