J.W. do you have any interest in helping us out a little with this? I have
combined your patch with another patch since they overlapped and placed it here
https://reviews.apache.org/r/9990. Some of the tests are failing and I am not
JPA expert so wondering if you were willing to wrap up with patch so we can get
it into the 2.5 release? Any help would really be appreciated.
