Matthew Sporleder commented on SOLR-15600:
------------------------------------------

Getty images uses solr in a big way
(https://lucidworks.com/post/getty-images-executes-managed-search-apache-solr/),
I've seen solr mentioned on amazon recruiter emails before, everyone who has
taken any solr training from opensourceconnections.com [~epugh] is using it,
everyone who has spoken at apachecon
([https://www.apachecon.com/acah2020/tracks/search.html)] like Box...

> Move Powered By logos to separate page

> See email from ASF. Solr is in violation of a policy:
> {quote}IMPORTANT: PMCs who list "powered by" companies on their Project sites
> (organizations that are using your project --in their products/solutions or
> otherwise) MUST NOT BE DOING SO ON THE PROJECT HOME PAGE.{quote}
> The reason Solr has not been "detected" until now is that solr was a sub page
> of lucene.apache.org but now the page with the illegal logos is on the HOME
> PAGE of solr.apache.org :)
>
> It should be easy to just put the "powered by" section on a sub page instead
> of on the HOME page of our site.
>
> This should be done within September 2021.
