Eric Pugh commented on SOLR-16222:
----------------------------------
I'm going to pick this effort up once SOLR-16427 is done, as it's a better
approach for cleaning things across the code base. Once we get that ticket to
"done", I'll sweep back through and see what else is remaining (like typos etc).
> Address Intellij WARNINGS in Test Code
> --------------------------------------
>
> Key: SOLR-16222
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-16222
> Project: Solr
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: Tests
> Affects Versions: main (10.0)
> Reporter: Eric Pugh
> Assignee: Eric Pugh
> Priority: Minor
>
> Inspired by SOLR-10778, I'd like to cut down on the number of warnings
> flagged by IntelliJ while perusing the tests for Solr. Eventually we could
> think about extending our use of ecj to cover the test code as well as the
> primary src/java code.
> This is an umbrella JIRA, and as warnings are identified we'll add a sub
> task, which will give the community a chance to flag any warnings that we do
> NOT think should be resolved, that are actually not warnings. Then we'll
> merge to main, watch the Jenkins job, and then back port to 9.
