Sorry, I just wanted to avoid failures in jenkins ASAP.
TBH , I don't know why the test was failing. if {{getData()}} is not invoked ,
the test was failing. So I had to put that back. So, the least I could do was
to avoid the deserialisation of the json. I saw many places where data and
{{Stat}} are read separately , so, I just added a helper method
