Houston Putman commented on SOLR-8803:
--------------------------------------
[~elyograg] , is there still work that needs to be done here? There seems to be
a good amount of stuff committed for 9.2, but since the tickets not closed out
yet, I'm assuming its a blocker for the release?
Could you give a little more info about the OOM docs? Mike made some
substantial changes around 1-2 years ago, and removed the custom OOM
functionality in the docker image. Maybe the docs weren't updated for this?
> Generalize OOME handling to work for any OS

> Solr on windows does not currently have a script to kill the process on OOM
> errors.
> The idea is to write a batch script that works like the OOM kill script for
> Linux and kills the solr process on OOM errors while creating an OOM log file
> like the one on Linux systems.
