A lot of the basic bugfixing work is being subsumed into SOLR-16764 in a more
stepwise, easier to digest format. I then will come back and reattempt the
adding of JSON format... Then, once that is done, maybe tackle the whole
child docs thing! Trying to break it up a bit more into digestible pieces.
