Description:
It would be good to have a capture of current span data for various flows
(query, index) and a test to verify there is no regression in telemetry data we
are emitting.
Evaluate enabling `-Dio.opentelemetry.context.enableStrictContext=true` as
suggested in the OTEL docs.
