Thanks [~dsmiley] for helping bring this back. My team and I brought this up in
the last community meetup and I think the main concern was flexibility if
integrating directly into Solr. With the Prometheus Exporter existing in
parallel and specifically for cluster-level, I don't think this should be a
problem as this is specifically for node-level metrics scraping and any
aggregations should be done by the users.
