The objective of this task is to devise and implement a metric template in
Grafana to capture, visualize, and analyze metrics from Apache Solr on two
levels: node-specific and collection-specific. This encompasses developing
dashboards that convey insightful and actionable metrics about the state,
performance, and health of Solr nodes and collections.
*Node-Specific Metrics*: Catering to metrics at the Solr node level including:
* JVM Metrics (Heap Memory Usage, Garbage Collection, etc.)
* Query Rate & Latency
* Update Rate & Latency
* Disk Usage
* CPU Usage
* ....
*Goal*: Provide comprehensive visibility into the operational state and
performance of individual Solr nodes.
*Collection-Specific Metrics*: Focus on metrics pertaining to Solr collections:
* Number of Documents
* Disk Space Usage
* Cache Usage and Efficiency
* Update and Query Volume
* Latency Metrics
* ....
*Goal*: Enable monitoring and analysis of collection performance and
utilization to ensure optimal operation.
