SOLR-17298 wrote some tests to verify the ability of various queries to handle
multi-threaded search, but the technique was deemed to not be a scalable long
term solution, and removed from the final PR. This ticket is for devising a
better plan of attack and adding it to our testing regime to ensure that
multi-threaded search remains well supported across future changes.
