As per the title: changes to ZK tree by zkcli or API do not percolate to admin
UI. Shift + reload works, though depending on the browser caching on top it may
take a few tries.
What would be useful is a "refresh" button in admin UI to refresh ZK status.
(This is a minor/wishlist item)
