It seems to me that one could reasonably choose any combination of a "micro
benchmark" or a "load testing / macro benchmark" to use for performance
regression testing (this JIRA). And furthermore, if we started with
solr/benchmark specifically, would it be that hard to add concurrent load if we
wanted to benchmark something that warranted it?
BTW I don't consider "luceneutil" as macro unless it's gained new abilities
lately to do concurrent load. Or I'm forgetful on this point.
I do understand that JMH has some interesting capabilities that are moot, not
needed, for performance regression reporting.
