Matthew Biscocho commented on SOLR-18257:
-----------------------------------------
[~houston] Asked this on the mailing list but I also question this. Why not
keep the workloads under the single main repo? I get we inherited from OSB but
we don't necessarily have to follow it. The "development / version history of
the test harness" already get tracked with git as well and easily readable on
github if you have it in its own directory. I also don't like cloning 2 repos
then need to keep them updated. Just wondering but don't take this as me trying
to stop it from moving forward as I haven't spent anytime on this.

> The new empty {{solr-orbit-workloads}} repository must be bootstrapped with
> an initial commit.
> I constructed the [https://github.com/janhoy/solr-benchmark-workloads] repo
> from scratch with some files from OSB workloads repo and adapted it. It is
> all committed as the initial commit in the empty repo. We can iterate from
> there with followup commits.
