Looks like INFRA prefers a VM for this use. Let's discuss DNS name. Not sure if
we can have sub-domains under solr. But we could ask for orbit.solr.apache.org,
alternatively solr-orbit.apache.org. In any case we could still choose to use
e.g. solr.apache.org/orbit-data/ as a htaccess redirect rule for any real
address if we wish, then we could acommodate for a potential move in the future
by switching the redirect only.
