Review Comment:
   One thing to keep in mind is that `LOST` technically does not guarantee the 
session to be expired (although it very likely is). Curator triggers this state 
on a timer. I only mention this because some code may subtly rely on the 
clean-up of ephemeral nodes when this transition is reached which may not 
happen. One could look at sessionId to determine this though OTOH that would 
feel like we're fighting the curator framework. Mainly calling this out for 
visibility.
