   `create-collection` fails against Solr releases before the V2 API rework, so
only recent 9.x can be benchmarked.

   `SolrAdminClient.create_collection` posts the collection's properties as the
request body:

   ```json
   {"name": "nyc_taxis", "config": "nyc_taxis", "numShards": 1, "nrtReplicas":
1, ...}
   ```

   Older releases take a command envelope instead and reject that with HTTP 400:

   ```
   Unknown operation 'name' available ops are
   '[set-alias-property, delete-alias, backup-collection, create, create-alias,
restore-collection]'
   ```

   `create` is in that list — Solr is saying it wanted `{"create": {...}}`.

   **Reproduce:** run any workload against Solr 9.0.0; it fails on the first
task.

   ```
   launchr run --versions 9.0.0 --workloads nyc_taxis --test-mode
   ```

   Confirmed failing on 9.0.0 and passing on 9.9.0.

   **Why it matters:** a trends site is only as long as the release history it
can benchmark. Today that history starts somewhere in late 9.x.

   **Suggested fix:** send the current shape, and retry with the envelope when
Solr answers "unknown operation". Checking the version instead means keeping a
table of which release changed and being wrong about one nobody tested.
