epugh opened a new pull request, #5177:
URL: https://github.com/apache/solr/pull/5177

   ## Summary
   - Reworks the "Preparing for Installation" section of `installing-solr.adoc`
to lead with recommending SolrCloud (using its embedded ZooKeeper) for most new
installations, with a single-node User-Managed (standalone) install positioned
as the alternative for users who know they'll only ever run one node.
   - Trims the Lucene max-document-count tangent (~2.14 billion docs/index),
which was a detour from the section's actual topic (planning an initial
installation) rather than something a reader needs at that point.

This is an editorial/content-judgment change, split out from #5176 (which
carries the purely factual bug fixes that were originally bundled with this in
the same commit) after review determined this one is a judgment call rather
than a correction.

   ## Test plan
   - [x] `./gradlew :solr:solr-ref-guide:buildLocalSite` succeeds
   - [x] Manually reviewed the rendered section for flow and correctness of the
new xrefs (`cluster-types.adoc#solrcloud-clusters`,
`cluster-types.adoc#user-managed-cluster`, `tutorial-solrcloud.adoc`)
