epugh opened a new pull request, #5233:
URL: https://github.com/apache/solr/pull/5233

   https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-17988

   ## Description

Documentation-only changes clarifying Solr 10 upgrade guidance for
environment variable and property renames:

   - The port pages still used `SOLR_PORT`, while the startup scripts use
`SOLR_PORT_LISTEN` — updated to match.
   - Added upgrade notes for the SSL client-authentication property renames.
   - Clarified the distinction between settings read by the shell script vs.
exported variables mapped by Java (an absent shell-script read does not mean an
exported variable is ignored).
   - Documented that exported `SOLR_ADMIN_UI_DISABLED` and `SOLR_WAIT_FOR_ZK`
remain deprecated Java aliases with warnings, and that exported
`SOLR_CLOUD_WAIT_FOR_ZK_SECONDS` sets the current ZooKeeper property.
   - Distinguished `SOLR_UI_ENABLED=false` (disables classic UI and the new UI
module) from `SOLR_UI_EXPERIMENTAL_ENABLED=false` (disables only the new
module), including the `export`/`SOLR_OPTS` nuance for `solr.in.sh`.

   Continues/supersedes #5230, originally authored by @nick-boss-tech —
re-opening from my fork to carry it forward, commit history and authorship
preserved as-is.
