Amrit Sarkar created SOLR-18599:
-----------------------------------

             Summary: Core-level v2 JAX-RS APIs deny users whose predefined
permission matches when an "all" rule exists
                 Key: SOLR-18599
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-18599
             Project: Solr
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Authorization, v2 API
            Reporter: Amrit Sarkar

Follow-up to [SOLR-18579|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-18579].

With an {{all}} rule in security.json, a user holding only the predefined
permission that a core-level JAX-RS v2 API declares (e.g. {{core-admin-read}}
on {{/api/cores/\{core\}/replication}}) still gets a 403. {{HttpSolrCall}}
authorizes core-level v2 requests with a null handler before Jersey's
{{SolrRequestAuthorizer}} runs, so only {{all}} can match.

[SOLR-18579|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-18579] fixed this for
container-level JAX-RS APIs only.
