Answered: `backupRepositories` on the SolrCloud only declares *where*
backups are stored. Taking one requires a separate `SolrBackup` resource, and
that's where `recurrence.schedule` and `recurrence.maxSaved` live:
```yaml
apiVersion: solr.apache.org/v1beta1
kind: SolrBackup
spec:
solrCloud: example
repositoryName: my-repo
recurrence:
schedule: "@every 24h"
maxSaved: 7
```
