[~matei] I can't track down the original GitHub issue with commentary where
Kryo was first used in Spark. I'm trying to understand why it was perceived to
be a good idea, and what advantages it has over other solutions. If you can
point me to where the old GitHub issue can be found, I'd love to read through
the discussion on the original pull request. Thanks!
