I had a discussion on spark-user/dev mailing list which indicated that
SPARK-2984 is relevant to HDFS, whereas this is specific to S3...SPARK-2984 is
resolved, but the issue seems to recur even with releases of spark after 1.3
and even with having spark.speculation=false. Any suggestions on what the
fix/workaround might be,other than just retrying the jobs again, hoping that
they will pass sometime
