Yuval Itzchakov commented on SPARK-15406: ----------------------------------------- We'ee using Kafka in a combination with stateful streams using `mapWithState`. I've just read through the Structured Streaming documentation and I'm a bit puzzled as to how this will work. My particular use case is that a session needs to complete before we're able to push it down to a result sink (or `ForeachWriter`). Is there support for what was used to be called stateful streaming in the Structured API? > Structured streaming support for consuming from Kafka > ----------------------------------------------------- > > Key: SPARK-15406 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-15406 > Project: Spark > Issue Type: New Feature > Reporter: Cody Koeninger > > This is the parent JIRA to track all the work for the building a Kafka source > for Structured Streaming.
