Binary mode in Spark thrift server re-introduced in 2.0 again from preview
version (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-15934) but Hive Hooks code
was not back again (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-15095)
I'm having an issue to use Hive Hooks in the Spark thrift server, it would be
great if your team contribute that issue.
