[~ijuma] it's not a regression. In Kafka 0.10.0.1, deleting topics will cause 
KAFKA-4536. In Spark, we just retry to fetch the new partitions as a 
workaround. In 0.10.2.0, this issue has been fixed and then it just exposed 
KAFKA-4879.
