Actually this is already fixed by
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-16706
For the array encoder performance issue, we also mitigated it by
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-15962 , you can create a new ticket
to detail the problem and discuss what else we can do to make it better
