Just to make sure I understand, the problem here is only with the static
accumulators, right? Is it also limited to only local-mode, or is it also
present in a cluster with multiple threads per executor?
to be honest, static accumulators seem unusual to me. Even if you solve the
problem with concurrent writes, I'd be worried about double-counting -- does
each thread send back an update from all of the threads on that node?
At the very least, there is room to improve the documentation.
