* A type cast specifies a conversion from one data type to another. PostgreSQL
accepts two equivalent syntaxes for type casts:
** CAST ( expression AS type )
** expression::type
* The {{CAST}} syntax conforms to SQL; the syntax with {{::}} is historical
PostgreSQL usage.
