{{io.dropwizard.metrics-graphite}} version {{3.1.0}} can send metrics to
Graphite via UDP or TCP.
After upgrading
([SPARK-5413|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-5413]), we should
support using this facility, presumably specified via a "protocol" field in the
metrics config file.
