When I ran release script for cutting 2.4.8 RC1, either in dry-run or normal
run at the last step "push the tag after success", I encounter the following
error:

fatal: Not a git repository (or any parent up to mount parent ....)
Stopping at filesystem boundary (GIT_DISCOVERY_ACROSS_FILESYSTEM not set).
