I had created [PR #4851|https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/4851] to fix this
issue, but later on I found this probably should be divided into separate
tasks. The current status of this ticket is:
- SPARK-6501 & SPARK-6503 are covered in PR #4851.
- An [experimental Jenkins
builder|https://amplab.cs.berkeley.edu/jenkins/job/Spark-Master-SBT_experimental/]
had been created for SPARK-6503
- Test cases in {{HiveThriftServer2Suites}} related to SPARK-6387 & SPARK-6502
are right now just ignored in PR #4851.
