DuckDb has popularized allowing trailing commas in the SELECT list.
The benefit of this ability is that it is easy to add, remove, comment out
expressions from the select list:
{noformat}
SELECT c1,
/* c2 */
FROM T;
vs
SELECT c1
/* , c2 */
FROM T;
{noformat}
Recently Snowflake jumped onto this usability feature as well.
