David Milicevic created SPARK-51369:
---------------------------------------
Summary: [M1] Fix cursor variable in FOR statement to work with
mixed case names
Key: SPARK-51369
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-51369
Project: Spark
Issue Type: Sub-task
Components: Spark Core
Affects Versions: 4.0.0, 4.1.0
Reporter: David Milicevic
Referencing variables in FOR loops with the cursor variable name doesn't work
if the variable name is not lower-cased. Example:
{code:java}
FOR LoopCursor AS (SELECT * FROM VALUES (1), (2), (3) AS tbl(RowValue)) DO
SET sum = sum + LoopCursor.RowValue;
END FOR; {code}
This would throw an "LoopCursor.RowValue cannot be resolved" error.
