In the SQL Standard and other DBMS the expressions permitted in VALUES are much
less restrive than Spark. This ticket will fix that.
- Allow non determinism in VALUES. E.g. allow inserting UUID
{noformat}
INSERT INTO T VALUES(uuid(), 1, 2, 3);{noformat}
- Allow correlated columns in a VALUES. E.g. e.g. pivot style joins.
{noformat}
SELECT P.*
FROM sales AS S,
LATERAL(VALUES('q1', s.q1), (q2, s.q2)) AS p(quarter, sales) {noformat}
